	1928		Graduated from Bunka Gakuin, Department of Fine Arts. Departed for France with Tomo Soeda.
	1932		Returns to Japan.
	1934		With Kaoru Yamaguchi and Rokuro Yabashi, founds the New Age Painting Exhibition.
	1937		Develop the New Age Painting Exhibition; founds the Association of Free Artists.
	1950		With Yamaguchi and Yabashi, withdraws from the Association of Free Artists and founds the Modern Art Association.
	1962		Awarded the first prize at the 5th Modern Japanese Art Exhibition and the Education Minister's Prize at the 3rd International Biennial Exhibition of Prints in Tokyo.
	1970		Received Wakayama Prefecture Award of Culture.
	1973		Retrospective, The Museum of Modern Art, Kamakura.
